“ We recently took a CPR class through Nantucket Community School, and it’s something I now feel every parent should do. Not long ago, our 4-year-old daughter choked on a piece of fruit at school. Her life was saved by her teacher, who had taken CPR classes through Nantucket Community School. It was a terrifying experience, and a sobering realization for us. Had it happened in our presence, we wouldn’t have been prepared. We were so grateful to learn how frequently these courses are offered and how easy the process was to sign up. The class itself was incredibly hands-on, which made all the difference. The instructor didn’t just explain what to do, they walked us through it step by step, physically guiding us so we could actually feel what proper technique is like. That kind of learning stays with you. There was also plenty of time for questions, and nothing felt rushed. We walked away not just informed, but genuinely more confident. It’s hard to describe the peace of mind that gives you. We’re deeply thankful this resource exists on Nantucket, and even more thankful for the people teaching these classes. ” -Laura Cunningham and Chris Wendzicki
